This is a ongoing monthly project.
The event was held at Primary Health Centre at Vellakinar. Rtn Viswanathan donated blood pressure monitor and gluco meter to the Vellakinar Primary Health Centre costing about Rs.22,000/-. President and Secretary also distributed Milk and Biscuits to the patients & attenders.
Rotary club of Coimbatore West has donated the cow lifting machine to the No.10 Muthur panchayat with the support of Mr.Viayakumar, Jacquard Fabrics India Pvt Ltd.

Distribution of milk and biscuits at the Vellakinar Primary Health Centre (beneficiaries around 60 nos). President Jambu Kumar and Ann Sarala has crossed more than 100 consecutive weeks of this great service to pregnant ladies.

Black Pearl is a Global Grant Project which is the first of its kind. This project is an Environment Project at Muthugoundenpudhur Panchayat. The Project involves the Segregation and processing of the garbage collected from surrounding villages and turn them into Manure and brickets for market consumption.
The Project is done by Rotary Club of Coimbatore West along with partner Club - Rotary Club of De Araraquara and sponsored by the Rotary Foundation in association with Muthugoundenpudhur Panchayat and supported by Rotary Community Corps Muthugoundenpudur.
Day 4 at RYLA comprised of speaker sessions on various topics such as Youth Towards Nation Building by Shri. S.A.A. Hasan, How to Develop Self-leadership skills by Shri. Ram Nidumolu and an interview with the world junior shooting champion Shri. Niveditha Nair. The valedictory function was a huge success and the event was graced by editor Dr. Rajkumar, Tamil Hindu. Finally, YUVA RATNA awards were conferred to 10 deserving youth based on their achievements.
RYLA YUVA 2.0 Day 3 comprised of the sessions on various topics such as Carrier in Sports by Nilesh Kulkarni, Insights into Astronomy by Indians by Dr. Sivanandhan, Digital Marketing by Smt. Poonam Mantri and Contribution of Ancient India to Weather Science by Rtn. Rajagopal.
RYLA - YUVA 2.0 Day 2 program comprised of speaker sessions on various topics such as Success Mantra by Shri Swami Chidanandha Puri, Time Management by Rtn. Vasu Vijayaragavan, Unstoppable Confidence by Shri. Jaswinder Singh, Expect the Unexpected by Smt. Banumathi and Emotional Intelligence by Dr. R. Ananda Kumar IAS.
With more than 600 registrations and 450 participants, RYLA had a great start. RYLA chairman Rtn.Pandiyan rendered the welcome address, followed by which, RYLA YUVA 2.0 was launched by District Governor Rtn. Rajasekhar virtually. Dist. Trainer PDG. Rtn.A.V. Pathy delivered the opening remarks. The guest keynote speech was delivered by Rtn. PDG. A.S. Venkatesh.

Rotary West extended its support (Rs.10,000) to patient Usha for her spine surgery. Cheque was handed over to her husband.
Rotary West organised a virtual family get together. We had a musical karaoke night (Paada va un Paadalai) where members had an opportunity to showcase the hidden talents of our rotary family.
Rotary West have contributed Rs. 35000 to Mr. Vellingiri, the tribal auto driver for purchasing an auto.

Rotary West sponsored Rs. 35000 to Vellingiri a tribal auto driver from Anaikatti for the initial payment for buying a new auto through financing.
Rotary West initiated the plantation project (Rotary Vanam) at Papampatty Panchayat by planting 2500 trees out of 6000 trees in the first phase.
In continuation with the eye camp organized by Rotary West & Aravind Eye Hospital at Kottaipalayam in the month of October, a medical team visited (as 43 patients were there) for reviewing the patients who got admitted and treated.
Rotary West organized a Christmas celebration at Helping Hearts Senior Citizen Home. 100 sweaters were donated.
The Rotary Club West in association with Aravind Eye Hospital, Coimbatore organized an eye camp at Athipalayam Village. 71 patients attended the eye camp and received consultation. 8 people were given free spectacles after check-up and 20 people received free cataract operation.
Stationery items and account books were given to the management committee of the Helping Hearts senior citizen home.
The Rotary Club West in association with Aravind Eye Hospital, Coimbatore organized an eye camp at Kottaipalayam. 105 patients attended the eye camp and received consultation. 12 people were given free spectacles after check-up and 43 people received free cataract operation.
180 sarees & dhotis were distributed by the members of the West to the senior citizens of the Helping Hearts senior citizen home. Sitting MLA Mrs. Vanathi Srinivasan graced the occasion.
The Rotary Club of West participated in the community service by distributing Diwali gifts to the front-line workers.
Rotary Club of Coimbatore West celebrated Diwali the volunteers and inmates of 'Helping Hearts'. We distributed 100 t-shirts and sweets to the senior citizens at the home. The occasion was graced by Rtn. Durai Narayanaswamy, PP Rtn. Sasikumar and Rtn. Valliammai.
Bamboo Sapling distribution was successfully organised at Sivaramnagar Community Hall. Chief Guest Osai Kalidasan and leading as an example, Guest of Honour V. P. Kandavel. Thank to our members and Sivaram Nagar Residents who graced the occasion with their presence. We distributed 900 saplings and 300 saplings given to Central Prision for planting in their campus.
As Geriatric Care is the need of the hour, Rotary Club of Coimbatore West supported Helping Hearts, Ukkadam, Karunai foundation, Podanur and Aravanailkum Illam, Gandhimanagar with essential items such as mattress, cot, blankets etc.
Rotary Club of Coimbatore West donated Rs.1,46,150 for polio fund on world polio day.

The basic requirements such as stationary items and other products worth of Rs.30000/- has been donated to Kinathukadavu GH.
Rotary West helped a cancer patient Ms. Bharathi by offering a donation of Rs.10000 for the treatment. The Cheque was handed over to the boss of the Patient's husband, who works as an Office Assistant in a Govt. office.
On 3rd October, "Jnana Sadas - A Catalyst for Happy Schools", an online seminar was conducted by RI District 3201. An awareness video on Kalvi 40's launch was played in the seminar. Thanks to PDG. Rtn.Pathy for all the encouragement and support to introduce Kalvi 40 in RI district 3201 platform. The video created a positive impact and encouraged few more clubs to come forward to take up this project of implementing Kalvi 40 in many other schools in order to bring a change for rural school children.

To commemorate the World Bamboo Day, The Rotary West along with RCC Midtown has decided to conduct a tree plantation drive in the upcoming days.
Tree plantation drive was conducted at VCV school to facilitate more green cover through afforestation and awareness to the children.

Kalvi 40 - An educational app was launched on 5th of September to facilitate better education for students pursuing 3rd std. to 8th std., through best teaching methods.
The Rotary Club West in association with Aravind Eye Hospital, Coimbatore organized an eye camp at Pudhupudhur, Perinayakampallayam village. 193 patients attended the eye camp and received consultation. 53 people were given free spectacles after check-up and 19 people received free cataract operation.
Covid Vaccination camp was conducted at Pattanam. Free vaccination was facilated for 400 people.

An Independence Day celebration was organized at Maduraiveeran Thittu by the Rotary Club of Coimbatore West where the flag hoisting event was followed by distribution of free food for 250 people.
The Rotary Club of Coimbatore West jointly with Mohan's academy organized an Independence Day sports meet at Sivaram Nagar. 200+ participants took part and made this event a huge success.

A contribution of Rs.65,000 was made by Rotary West to support the physiotherapy treatment of Mr. Peter in order to improve the function activity and muscle power in the left side of the chest.
Plantation was done globally as an initiative under the district priority, "Our Lovely Planet". 10 destinations, 22 volunteers in a short span of 24hrs.

AGM has been conducted at 129 Pillar Auditorium. Following are a few important pointers discussed.
1) The accounts of 2020-21 have been approved and passed.
2) The new office bearers 2022-23 have been elected.
3) A resolution that 'Rtn. A.V. Pathy, Past District Governor of RI District 3201 be proposed as a candidate for nominating committee for selection of Rotary International Director from Zone 5 for the Rotary Years 2025-27.

Speaker meeting was conducted this time with a twist - 2 speakers with dynamic topic and a breakfast meeting were organized at The Farm Stead. 1st Speaker Mr. Rajagopal G. Iyer spoke on the topic, " An insight into yoga - Looking beyond Assans" and Ms. Gowri Rathi spoke on the topic, "Food Culture". The insights shared in the speaker meeting by both the speakers made everyone of us to have a perspective.
On 8th October 2021, a felicitation function was conducted to recognize UPSC rank holders of 21-22 from Coimbatore. This function was jointly conducted by RCC Uptown and RCC Central. Our PDG. Rtn. Pathy was the chief guest and had delivered an inspirational speech. The presence of Secretary, Rtn. V. Chandrasekar was recognized.

We, Rotary West organized our second speaker meeting for the month of July. Our Guest speaker Advocate K. Sumathi adressed us on the topic, 'Parenting Amidst Gadgets'.
We, Rotary West had organized our first speaker meeting for the month of July. Our guest speaker Isaikavi Ramanan addressed us on the topic, 'Shanthi Nilava Vendum', the importance of the peace amidst this pandemic situation.
Installation took place on 23rd June 2021. Rotary West was the first club to conduct the installation for the year.
Rotary West takes immense pride to share a memorable event that took place at Jamin Kaaliyapuram. We donated a Cow lifting machine to the village panchayat so as to benefit all the farmers of the village. Farmers were extremely elated and grateful for the timely support as they are renting this machine from other adjoining village. This is also a first of its kind , an unique gesture from Rotary and 25 milk cans were donated to the farmers. The arrangement and hospitality shown by the people of the village was unbelievable and is to be cherished forever. Thanks to Rtn Sashikumar for all the guidance. This auspicious occasion was graced by President elect. Rtn. Jammbukumar and Ann Sumi Sashikumar.
