Rotary club of Coimbatore West has donated the cow lifting machine to the No.10 Muthur panchayat with the support of Mr.Viayakumar, Jacquard Fabrics India Pvt Ltd.

Distribution of milk and biscuits at the Vellakinar Primary Health Centre (beneficiaries around 60 nos). President Jambu Kumar and Ann Sarala has crossed more than 100 consecutive weeks of this great service to pregnant ladies.

Black Pearl is a Global Grant Project which is the first of its kind. This project is an Environment Project at Muthugoundenpudhur Panchayat. The Project involves the Segregation and processing of the garbage collected from surrounding villages and turn them into Manure and brickets for market consumption.
The Project is done by Rotary Club of Coimbatore West along with partner Club - Rotary Club of De Araraquara and sponsored by the Rotary Foundation in association with Muthugoundenpudhur Panchayat and supported by Rotary Community Corps Muthugoundenpudur.
Day 4 at RYLA comprised of speaker sessions on various topics such as Youth Towards Nation Building by Shri. S.A.A. Hasan, How to Develop Self-leadership skills by Shri. Ram Nidumolu and an interview with the world junior shooting champion Shri. Niveditha Nair. The valedictory function was a huge success and the event was graced by editor Dr. Rajkumar, Tamil Hindu. Finally, YUVA RATNA awards were conferred to 10 deserving youth based on their achievements.
RYLA - YUVA 2.0 Day 2 program comprised of speaker sessions on various topics such as Success Mantra by Shri Swami Chidanandha Puri, Time Management by Rtn. Vasu Vijayaragavan, Unstoppable Confidence by Shri. Jaswinder Singh, Expect the Unexpected by Smt. Banumathi and Emotional Intelligence by Dr. R. Ananda Kumar IAS.
With more than 600 registrations and 450 participants, RYLA had a great start. RYLA chairman Rtn.Pandiyan rendered the welcome address, followed by which, RYLA YUVA 2.0 was launched by District Governor Rtn. Rajasekhar virtually. Dist. Trainer PDG. Rtn.A.V. Pathy delivered the opening remarks. The guest keynote speech was delivered by Rtn. PDG. A.S. Venkatesh.
In continuation with the eye camp organized by Rotary West & Aravind Eye Hospital at Kottaipalayam in the month of October, a medical team visited (as 43 patients were there) for reviewing the patients who got admitted and treated.
Bamboo Sapling distribution was successfully organised at Sivaramnagar Community Hall. Chief Guest Osai Kalidasan and leading as an example, Guest of Honour V. P. Kandavel. Thank to our members and Sivaram Nagar Residents who graced the occasion with their presence. We distributed 900 saplings and 300 saplings given to Central Prision for planting in their campus.
On 3rd October, "Jnana Sadas - A Catalyst for Happy Schools", an online seminar was conducted by RI District 3201. An awareness video on Kalvi 40's launch was played in the seminar. Thanks to PDG. Rtn.Pathy for all the encouragement and support to introduce Kalvi 40 in RI district 3201 platform. The video created a positive impact and encouraged few more clubs to come forward to take up this project of implementing Kalvi 40 in many other schools in order to bring a change for rural school children.
The Rotary Club West in association with Aravind Eye Hospital, Coimbatore organized an eye camp at Pudhupudhur, Perinayakampallayam village. 193 patients attended the eye camp and received consultation. 53 people were given free spectacles after check-up and 19 people received free cataract operation.
AGM has been conducted at 129 Pillar Auditorium. Following are a few important pointers discussed.
1) The accounts of 2020-21 have been approved and passed.
2) The new office bearers 2022-23 have been elected.
3) A resolution that 'Rtn. A.V. Pathy, Past District Governor of RI District 3201 be proposed as a candidate for nominating committee for selection of Rotary International Director from Zone 5 for the Rotary Years 2025-27.
Rtn. Muruganandam of The Rotary Club of Coimbatore West participated in the promotional event of the UTSAV on behalf of our club.
A club meeting was organized to discuss the conduct of RYLA 2.0.
Speaker meeting was conducted this time with a twist - 2 speakers with dynamic topic and a breakfast meeting were organized at The Farm Stead. 1st Speaker Mr. Rajagopal G. Iyer spoke on the topic, " An insight into yoga - Looking beyond Assans" and Ms. Gowri Rathi spoke on the topic, "Food Culture". The insights shared in the speaker meeting by both the speakers made everyone of us to have a perspective.
On 8th October 2021, a felicitation function was conducted to recognize UPSC rank holders of 21-22 from Coimbatore. This function was jointly conducted by RCC Uptown and RCC Central. Our PDG. Rtn. Pathy was the chief guest and had delivered an inspirational speech. The presence of Secretary, Rtn. V. Chandrasekar was recognized.
G42 meeting was attended by President and Secretary of Rotary West at Rathna Residency. President Rtn.Goodwin Saravanaraja delivered a note on the procedures to carry out Miyawaki project in Coimbatore corporation reserved sites and requested all the clubs to take up the plantation projects. Secretary Rtn. V. Chandrasekar explained about Kalvi 40- An educational app to facilitate quality education and teaching methods to Govt. school students.
Rotary West takes immense pride to share a memorable event that took place at Jamin Kaaliyapuram. We donated a Cow lifting machine to the village panchayat so as to benefit all the farmers of the village. Farmers were extremely elated and grateful for the timely support as they are renting this machine from other adjoining village. This is also a first of its kind , an unique gesture from Rotary and 25 milk cans were donated to the farmers. The arrangement and hospitality shown by the people of the village was unbelievable and is to be cherished forever. Thanks to Rtn Sashikumar for all the guidance. This auspicious occasion was graced by President elect. Rtn. Jammbukumar and Ann Sumi Sashikumar.
